Using web technology, we at RedZebra Global initially developed our on-line information management tool to specifically manage pictures, video & audio clips from cellphones.

It did not takes us long to realize that with a little further development the technology could manage many forms of files.

The requirement to management online of BEE and BBBEE Certificates is one of these specific applications which arose when our parent company MeyCom received their BBBEE certificate.

The question raised was how could MeyCom make their BBBEE Certificate available to their customers efficiently and cost effectively without tying up the staff's time, every time a customer required a copy of the BBBEE Certificate.

Equally important requirement was to make the BBBEE Certificate available to potential customers.

The Web was the obvious answer, being in the fortunate position of having RedZebra Global as an associate company, MeyCom and RedZebra Global realized the usefulness of building a BBBEE Directory.

The investment one makes in acquiring the BBBEE certificate is not insignificant.

MeyCom has spent on direct costs R6500 never mind the opportunity cost of R40K+ of gathering all the require information together.

The criteria our developers had to work to was:
